Driving from Inverness will take about 1hr 30 min depending on traffic / road conditions. The road has some beautiful scenic parts and is single track for a short section of the road entering Gairloch from the south.
Whether you enter Gairloch from the north or south once in the village take the B8021 which is signposted for Big Sand and Melvaig. Keep following the coastal road. As you leave the village you will pass will over a cattle grid. Approximately 500 yds after this, you will reach the area of Lonemore. Look out for a sign ‘Strathlene Self Catering’ on the left hand side of the road. Take a right turn opposite the sign, and as you go up the hill you will arrive at Strathlene on your right.
